As an artist it is important to experiment with different ideas. Above is an example of Dennis Sheehan painting two portrait paintings in different styles and each with a special feeling and drama. Notice the white areas carefully placed beneath the woman's face and the one to the lower right of the man's face. These white areas complete the framing of the face.
