New painting of Plum Island tree near outlook tower

The weather has been perfect for visiting Plum Island which is two miles down the street from my Joppa studio in Newburyport, MA. Warm temperatures and just enough of a breeze to keep the bugs away. Here is one painting from just such a day.

As a contrast, here is a tree from a path at Woodsom Farm in Amesbury, MA. Notice the difference between the sunny day and the more cloudy, hazy day.
