A change from plein air painting brings new exciting ink and watercolor paintings. The ink is put on with a Japanese pen which has a soft brush. The ink will bleed when water is added causing a shadow affect around the ink drawings. The color from the watercolors mixes with the shadow causing a gradation in color tones. The ink and paint together create the affects of the painting. The artist guides the direction of the brush while letting the materials produce a unique vision.

I have just recently started painting these ink/watercolor paintings and hope to continue creating more affects. Here are a few, let me know what you think (good and/or bad).
